Adam is a law clerk at the firm and provides assistance with various biotechnological patent applications, as well as aiding in legal research, Freedom to Operate and other analyses.

Previously, Adam worked as a research and development scientist in the New Products Division of a medium-sized biotechnology company. While there, Adam developed an innovative method of detecting protein-DNA interactions. He also co-authored an article in the journal Genes & Development that compared mutations in chromatin structural proteins. Adam was also a research assistant in the Lab of Plant Biochemistry and Photobiology at the University of Illinois, as well as a student researcher in various other labs.

Adam is a student at Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he is an associate editor of the Journal of Intellectual Property, a recipient of a Chicago IP Colloquium Fellowship, and the captain of the 2008 Saul Lefkowitz Moot Court team.
