Jeff’s special skills include domestic and foreign patent prosecution, patentability opinions, trademark and patent infringement, patent and trademark licensing and trademark availability. During his legal career, Jeff has written and prosecuted hundreds of patent applications and authored a like number of opinions.
Previously employed as an engineer at Sundstrand Corporation in Rockford, Illinois, he gained nine years of technical experience on the client side of the table, working in the design, development, manufacturing and testing of turbine engines, ram air turbines, gearboxes, pumps and actuation systems for the aerospace industry.
He explains that IP law appealed as a career choice because it allows him to indulge his love of technology and new ideas, interests he developed and practiced at school and during his prior career as an engineer.
