About John S. Mortimer
John regularly counsels clients in all areas of intellectual property, primarily in the mechanical arts. He has represented them in litigation in both the State and Federal Courts as well as before the International Trade Commission.
John’s clients range from individuals to Fortune 500 companies and include numerous mid-size firms. He has worked with many of these organizations since start-up, helping them develop, secure, and monitor a substantial portfolio of patents and trademarks.
John has obtained more than 1,000 U.S. Patents for his clients on inventions ranging from very simple mechanical devices to complex CNC machine tools. He has also obtained hundreds of patents for clients outside of the U.S. and registered hundreds of trademarks for his clients worldwide.
John also volunteers with multiple youth groups. He finds it rewarding to create opportunities for teens to maximize their potential under a range of different circumstances.
