Joe has experience counseling clients with regard to the development and management of their patent portfolios in the U.S. and abroad. Joe's patent experience in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the life sciences includes immunology, genomics, pharmaceuticals and biologies. In addition, Joe also has experience with the analysis of patent issues including freedom to operate and infringment, validity and enforceability opinions.

Previously, Joe was a partner in the firm of Keown & Zucchero, LLP based in Boston, Massachusetts. His experience running a small business developed an understanding of the importance of providing personal, responsive and cost effective service to meet the unique needs of each client.

Joe holds a B.S. degree in Biology, and a M.S. degree in Biology, with a focus in molecular biology/genetics and biochemistry, from Boston College. Joe graduated from Boston College Law School in May of 2001. Joe is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and is a member of the Illinois Bar (pending) and the Bar of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
